End of (this) Year

Although this is a year long course, halfway through is still a big milestone. There's only seven more days of school until the break- and four of those are of final exams.

I would like to say that I learned a lot this semester. However, that's not perfectly true.
Listening along to the class I picked up a few tricks- most notably switch statements and the Scanner class. It was nothing big, but now for some reason I feel more... certified? I really have no idea. It just has something to do with the fact that I am comfortable with Java and took this "official" class.

It seems strange that most of what I learned came from independent studying; even more so with how much I found out. I made an (almost) fully functioning raytracer - I'm still stuck on that reflection part - and in spare time found how to automate the cursor (with the Robot class) and started this game which I don't really like. I'm starting to wonder if this is better than "normal" school.

In the next semester, I suppose, I'll finish all these projects (that are ever so close to completion) as I don't have enough time left in this one. It's fitting: speeding up then slowing down; beginning and finishing; starting and ending. It seems like a good goal.
